Getting the camper washed

The camper had like 10k miles worth of road grime and nastiness on it. So we decided to try a truck wash. Worked out pretty well. Nice to see the wheels shining again. 🙂

It was $75 and took about an hour of sitting around, but now it's all clean again and ready for more miles.

Visiting Uncle Eric

Finally made it to South Carolina. We have traveled to all the states around it already, but never actually stopped here. This time through we were driving right by my uncle Erics house, so I called him up. I had a great time hanging out with him. My kids loved playing. Just basically sat around BSing for 24hrs. 🙂 Thanks for the food and fun!

Back through Louisianna!

We left Corpus Christi, TX and headed east again. Stopped at Carl and Andreas again for the night. Got more hugs and hot breakfast!

Aquarium

Went to the Corpus Christi, TX Aquarium. It was like $43 with our Zoo membership. I hate to spend money like that, but it was fun and really cool. Check the pix and see the awesome entrance to the place. We watched the dolphins and the birds shows. We touched Stingrays, we saw an alligator. Just all kinds of fun stuff. Definitely worth the trip.

Corpus Christi, TX

Corpus Christi, TX is really nice. We loved our time here. Tons to do and see. We enjoyed being on the beach in January. Sweet!

TEXAS!!

I like Texas and have wanted to come for a while. I have been here twice before for work, but never with my family. So we are on our way to Corpus Christi. It's raining right now, but it was a nice day for a drive here. I am currently enjoying a Steelers game brought in off our antenna. SWEET! That last pic is me grilling steaks and watching Steelers. 🙂

Stashing stuff.

We needed to protect our bikes and stash our hose that we use for sewer with our FloJet. This is what I came up with.

I also picked up a 50ft 30 amp extension cord from Craigslist and cleaned a couple cupboards to come up with even more storage.

Tabasco Tour

Todays outing was a trip to Avery Island which is the only place in the world where they make Tabasco sauce. It was very pretty out there. Avery Island is actually a giant salt lump. Seriously, the entire island is salt, going deeper then Everest is tall and bigger around then most of Americas town. And it's all owned by one family. How bout that monopoly?? 🙂

It was interesting. Took us 2 hours to get there so it pretty shot the whole day and the production line wasn't even running (bummer), but we did learn some stuff we didn't know and got free hot sauce. Score!

More Louisiana fun

Today was Thing 4's birthday. She's now 4 years old. How crazy is that. We had a fun day playing in the yard, going to the playground, and trying some Louisiana food. We had Jambalaya and King Cake for dinner. Both were pretty good. We had trouble getting the kids to try it, but they did and a couple of them even liked it. I found both to be pretty tasty myself. After dinner we played some more Settlers. We also gave Thing 4 her presents, she is always so excited to get stuff. I love it!

Louisiana

Many of you know already, we are on a lay over in Louisiana before we head to Texas for the next round of work.

We are having fun with Carl and Andrea and their 3 kids. They have a big driveway that fit our camper beautifully, and even had a 30 amp plug and water all ready for us. AWESOME!

We taught them Settlers of Catan and ate pizza and caught up from not seeing them for a couple years. It's been fun.

Today was Elijah's birthday so we celebrated by going to his favorite restaurant, Ryan's. Then he got Legos, and some Thomas the Train track stuff for his birthday.

It's so nice and warm here. I like this south for the winter thing a lot!

Now on to the pictures!
