Some of the stuff we have been up too

Well we've been busy with the new house and getting adjusted to being stationary again. I am trying to rebuild my business, but it's going slow. Work has been slow lately.

We have decided to put our camper up for sale. We are asking $30k for it. It books around $36k and we figure it has a couple grand of upgrades easy on it.

I have been doing a lot with the radio control stuff. I started a group for local RC enthusiasts at http://keystone-rc.com and I have been working with the local hobby shop and dirt track on some stuff (Big Dog RC).

Been enjoying reconnecting with old friends and playing with the kids.

We thank you all for your prayers and for continuing to follow our adventure.

Father Daughter Ball at Galloway United Methodist

I know I have not been keeping up with the posts on here. Much of my life lately doesn't feel like an adventure so it seems pointless to share.

Last night, however, we did something fun. The church we have been attending, Galloway United Methodist, put on a father daughter ball. The girls dressed up in fancy dresses, and I pulled out the most dressed up stuff I own. There was dancing, and desserts and makeup for the girls. We had a lot of fun and I think the girls really enjoyed being princesses. Course they always are, but sometimes its fun to dress and act like one. :-)

Helping a friend with his roof

My good friends roof started leaking badly right about the same time his furnace quit. Heat was more important then roof right now and being short on money we decided to put a tarp up to temporarily stop the rain and snow. I have to admit that this high up step roof actually has me slightly terrified. Hopefully tomorrow we can finish it.

Staying busy.

Well I have been staying crazy busy for quite sometime now. This is a good thing as I was worried that I would not have work. I should have known God would provide (well I did know He would). Just sometimes our ideas and Gods ideas don't look the same. It always amazes me how things work out.

We are all moved into the new house. I have been putting on about 3000 miles a month for work. Being in a house is nice, but I do miss the different scenery of travel. Looking forward to the next project where we can see some more of the country.

Moving day!

Well its official. We are home owners. Well the bank and the government own it, we just get to do whatever we want with it. :)

Everyone is adjusting well and its nice to have different rooms to goto.
Now I have to get the camper winterized since we won't be living in it.

Thanks everyone who helped us move and helped us get to this point. God bless you all. :)

Stuff we need

As many of you know, we got rid of almost all of our furniture when we hit the road. We are currently in the process of buying a house and we need some things when we move. I will keep this ongoing and check off things as we get them. Thank in advance for following our blog. We will continue to travel so we will keep updating.

Thing we need for the new house:
Dining room table and chairs
Couch
Bed for the grownup (king or queen)
Dressers
Washer
Dryer
Decent sized Freezer (our little portable on just won't cut it)
End stands
Shelves for garage and basement

Corn Maze

Recently we took the family (us, the kids, my sister and bro in law and their kid, and my parents) to a corn maze in Lucinda, PA. Pricing was pretty good. It was a little muddy, but we new it would be. We all wore boots. We managed to find all the check points and the kids won a prize. They had some little kid type games and stuff for the kids to do. They also had a sand box filled with whole kernel corn that the kids loved. We had a good time. Definitely recommended. :-)

I will have to add pix later. They are all on my phone.

Putting up some food

image

So now that we are parked for a while we decided to put up some food for the winter. We got some free apples (just a few) and some chicks (they will be grown by snow fall).

We are still in the camper and haven't heard a word about another project. I have been picking up odd jobs here and there to pay the bills. PTL.

Still parked in Franklin, PA

We are still parked at my parents farm, Big Oak Ridge. Still haven't come up with a solid plan for winter yet either. We are talking about ending the travel and buying a house. We talked about just renting someplace for the winter. Just nothing has presented itself yet.

I am finding just enough work to pay the bills. I have tightened up our budget, but its a little harder now.

Things have been going decent. Kids are settled into a school routine pretty well. I have been doing what I can around the farm to help out. The barn is nearly buttoned up for winter, and the old chickens have been butchered and canned. Shelli and my mom did a bunch of canning of apples, pears, and veggies. This will help our food budget a lot through the winter.

Thanks for all your prayers and support as we try to figure out what's next for our family.
